Village Center - Updated Tenant List

In case you have not been by lately, rough grading is complete and the site is fenced. Expect foundations within 60 days and, hopefully, some vertical activity by the end of the year.

Several tenants are now confirmed in the TVC -

Ralphs Fresh Fare

Wells Fargo Bank

Panera Bread

Peet's Coffee

Juice It Up

Aveda Hair Salon

Paper Annex

Fitness Together Gym

Wild's Animal Supplies

Verizon
Unnamed high end women's boutique/jeweler
Unnamed dry cleaner

Unnamed barber shop

Also on the horizon is an Italian restaurant and another sit down restaurant (or two).

Possible additional tenants include an ice cream parlor, a surf shop, a bicycle shop, an art gallery, an optometrist and a home décor store.

Thoughts, input, suggestions?

I want them to put in a Macaroni Grill! It's one of my favorite places and even though it's a chain, it rocks:

I wish a wild oats, whole foods or even bristol farms or gelsons was going in instead of ralphs.

doesn't sound like anything great to me. i bet the italian restaurant will be a chain - Olive Garden - how exciting....

another bank? ridiculous

an eye doctor, verizon, bike shop, art gallery, surf shop - oooohhhh, can't wait....

sorry for the sarcasm, but this is a pathetic list so far. No chain restaurants, please.

I don't know that the TVC site is big enough to lure in a chain. I would expect that one of SC's local Italian restaurants will open a "branch" in the TVC.

And, yeah, Gelsons, W.O. or B.F. would have been nice, but from what I hear about the Ralphs F.F., it should be comparable.

Wild's Animal Supplies is the pet store that is going in. Not Wild Pets

What about a restaurant where we can bring our kids after baseball or football games (and practices for that matter). Something simple and fun for both kids and adults. A place that can become a large part of the community. Really isn’t family what Talega is all about?

Yes, a restaurant where you could bring your kids after soccer and baseball would be fun... for you and your kids. Junk food, kids menus, fast food, kids running wild in their baseball or soccer garb or simply standing on the chairs banging on the table with a spoon seems to be what's it's all about these days. Be careful how you define what's "fun for adults".

I suggest the developers look to Ladera Mall for some ideas. They have several, excellent, non-chain restaurants there including Infusion, Pacific Whey and Picante. Please, fellow Talegans, let's not subject ourselves to the plate-numbing culinary mediocraties the likes of Olive Garden, Macaroni Grill or some other chain-trough feeding hole. If it's production slop you want, hop in the SUV and head to El Pollo Loco, Charo Chicken, Quiznos, ToGo's or any of the other apres soccer destinations on Pico. Just because we live in tract homes doesn't me we have to eat tract food. And seriously, do we need another wireless phone store or nail spa??

Does anyone not notice that a BOOKSTORE is missing? What about Barnes & Noble or Borders???
That's a great hang out for families, so long as the bookstore has a children's section (with train table!).

What San Clemente needs is a gym like 24 hour fitness sport or LA fitness not a small gym like Fitness Together.
